Description
Flax Hatchel/Hetchel, marked with a punched design of "1807" flanked by tulip designs; same design on both sides of base. Base is an oak board 0.625" thick, wrapped with tinned sheet iron and perforated with many tapered iron nails. Holes drilled through ends for securing to a working surface (table or bench?).
