This is a pamphlet published in 1902 to advertise the school. It includes the names of the staff, the structure of curriculum, and the school's philosophy of education. The school's intention was to furnish girls with an education that would make them ready for college or for employment. Boys were being admitted to the lower grades if they were younger than10 years old. The Stahr school eventually was combined with Lancaster College, a prep school that would later become the Shippen School in 1908. The Shippen school would later become the Lancaster Country Day School.
