Mochaware mug with ear-like handle in earthen tones (tan, gold and dark brown). Six indented double bands encircle the outside of the mug. All but the top inch of the mug and handle is painted gold. A band at the top of the mug is decorated with a painted dark brown chain diamond-shapes banded with double lines of brown on both sides. Handle ends are leaf-like.
Tapes on base of mug: "1884/ J.B.Morris, Jr." and "mocha/2M."
Mochaware mug, overall earth tons of pale white and tan with painted rust-colored and green bands around the exterior. The green paint on two bands are vees stamped into the clay and painted green. Both foliate ends of the ear-shaped handle are also painted green.

Creamer, glazed soft paste procelain. Sticker on bottom says: Rounded sides with front and back molded into a shell shape. Gently curving spout, missing handle.
Paint decoration consists of brown borders arount mouth, handle and side decoration. Around the mouth is a 1/2-inch pink band with a string of diamond shapes containing 4 dots edged on the bottom with painted scallops. A few particles were fired onto the center of bowl,
Pearlware bowl, thrown with applied scallopped edge and sprig ring ornament applied to sides. Handpainted and sponged Polychrome painted decoration, peacock motif. Labels on bottom removed, "Leeds Sugarbowl" and "15B"
Molded pearlware bowl (a) with lid (b). Hand painted and transfer printed Cobalt blue floral print decoration covers all of exterior. Two baskets with flowers on sides. Rectangular handles are part of the piece.
Crack across center of handle, small chip next to spout, lossof glaze on interior and under spout. Abrasions around shoulder. Accretions and soil at various places. Foot ring has wear and very heavy soil.
Black Transfer printed octagonal teapot with "dutch" vignette. Molded with applied handle and spout. Has lid. Attached note reads, "Presented by Mrs. Bessie M. Keplinger for her mother, Mrs. Ella Fox" "1st owned by Hettie Breneman Lightner, 1800", "Given to Mrs. Ella Fox by her grandmother Jane Lightner Henry", "Given by Mrs. Ella Ferrier Fox passed away August 15th 1942 in her 91st year."
Thrown Mochaware saltshaker with potbelly body on pedestal base; strongly perforated dome top above collar. Bands of hand-painted decoration in orange and brown.
The oldest tobacco shop in the United States, Demuth's was founded in 1770 by Christopher Demuth and remained in the family in the 1980's. With visitors such as Jasper Yeates and James Buchanan, the shop was, and still remains, a staple in the local community.
Molded pearlware teapot with applied molded handle and spout. Decorated with red transfer printed decoration of flowers, shells, C-scrolls and historic scenes of Japanese or Chinese buildings on both sides of body & lid. Both body (a) and domed lid (b) with knop are molded in multi-lobed, bulbous form. Body sits on 4 short, naturalistic feet. Neck above body narrows and then flares in an irregular form around oval mouth. Lid has the same decoration as body. Attached labels read, "SD 134" and the now-removed "75.64.80", likely signifying a 1980 loan to the Heritage Center.
