Description
Although a sizeabel quantity of salt glazed stoneware was made in Pennsylvania, this crock was made in Somerville, Massachusetts, by McCarthy Bros. Most of the examples of salt glazed are not very old, and are well preserved. Some motifs suggest conditions where they were made. Many of the motifs are floral.
