Letter from Henry E. Johnston to H. B. Swarr noting that Harriet Lane Johnston’s suggestions regarding James Buchanan’s biography would surely be disregarded as have her previous wishes regarding the monument, etc; further noting that Mr. Swarr appears more favorably disposed towards his co-executor than he was at the time of the disposal of the Prince of Wales picture; and ends with his inability to tolerate the disrespectful tone of Swarr’s last letter.
