Julius J. "Jule" Ritchey was born in 1895 in Lancaster's Cabbage Hill neighborhood. During his career as a middleweight boxer, he fought 75 bouts, won 65 of them and had 4 KOs. He fought alongside local contemporaries Leo Houck, Rosey Stoy, and Tim Droney. He trained in various places around the world, including Havana, Cuba. Ritchey later worked from Armstrong until he retired in 1960. He died 9 January 1983 in Lancaster.

Ressler Family and Mascot Roller Mill Collection, 1942-1990
Description
The Ressler Family and Mascot Roller Mill Collection contains Christmas cards sent by the Ressler Family, owners of the Mascot Roller Mill in Upper Leacock Township, and information about the mill, the family home and the Ressler Mill Foundation.
Admin/Biographical History
The Mascot Roller Mill was built in 1760 by Jacob Becker. William Ressler acquired the mill in 1864 and his family continued to operate the mill until 1977. With the mill no longer in production, the Ressler Mill Foundation was established to preserve the mill and its waterways.

Admin/Biographical History
Established in 1924 as the Lancaster County Trust, the organization changed its name to Lancaster County Foundation in 1951. Local attorney Martin M. Harnish served as chairman of the Distribution Committee from 1924 until his death in 1959, and was most active in establishing the foundation as means for charitable giving in estate planning.

The Pirates Club began as the Shad Choir Club in Lancaster around 1910. This fraternal organization had regular shad dinners and field trips called "cruises". The organization is still active in Lancaster.

The Donegal Society was organized in 1909 to maintain, preserve and promote the history and grounds of the Donegal Presbyterian Church near Mount Joy, Lancaster County, and the history of the Scots-Irish who settled in the area and founded the church in 1721.
This collection contains genealogical research of the Abele and Shirk families of Lancaster County and allied families in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Includes research information about Abele, Shirk, Haines, Henry families, newspaper clippings, ephemera and photographs.

The family of John I. Abele (1904-1987) and Blanche Henry Abele (1912-2003) lived in the city of Lancaster, but had family ties to other parts of Lancaster County. This collection documents those ties.
