Swarr her attorney to draw up estate papers; admitting that he opened the enclosed letter from Mr. Florey in which he wants to close a loan to her but with conditions; thinking that the influence of Parson Rosenmiller on Dr. Lane would affect adversely the estates of the family; asking that she find out from James Henry whether New York paid interest in gold or “depreciated paper”; finding pleasure in visiting his Chester County farm; and rejoicing at Mrs. Henry’s recovery. Letter to Jasper Yeates in Lancaster from Joseph Swift in Philadelphia regarding his son's education and recommendations from Jasper and Sarah Yeates. This letter and a copy of George Henry's lease were conveyed to Lancaster by Thomas Hartley. Henry has not paid rent, has harvested the timber, and let the buildings fall into disrepair. He also inquired after a deed from John Morris Jr. to John Swift and Joseph Swift, which was to be delivered by Mr. Parr. He mentions Mr. Parr's death and his daughter's declining health.
Fore-edge of the letter has been trimmed along with some of the writing on page 2.
