This collection was relocated from the Wheatland mansion to the LancasterHistory archives in the Spring of 2009. Letter to James Buchanan from J. M. Foltz to enclosing an allotment note from Foltz’s Navy salary to pay off a bond and to make some investments in Foltz’s name. Foltz also writes about the political climate he has observed in Virginia and the Carolinas. U.S. Ship, Jamestown, Norfolk.
