Parade Belt presented to Union Fire Company by the "Lady Friends" of the fire company. Leather strap with buckle and holder for flag. Sterling silver sheild attached to leather by to copper rivets. Engraved on shield: "Aug. 14th 1860/Presented by the Lady Friends/ of the Union Fire Co./No. 1/ at their centennial anniversary/ Aug. 14th 1760
Painted portrait of William Albright (or Albrecht) (1793-1852) by Jacob Eichholtz, c. 1830
William Albright, or Albrecht, was born May 23, 1793 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to German printer, John Albright (1745-1806). He worked intermittently in Philadelphia as an ornamental painter, lithographic artist, limner, "dancing-master," and teacher of drawing from 1815 to 1845. Albright delineated the color plates for the "Floral Magazine and Botanical Repository" (Philadelphia, 1832-1834).
In 1820, Albright returned to Lancaster at his father's bequest, where until 1836, he published the "Staatsbothe" and continued the publication of the "New and Improved North American Almanac" started by Francis Bailey in 1775. On Christmas Day in 1821 he married Mary Weaver with whom he had one daughter, Anna M. Albright (1822-1855).
Albright returned to Philadelphia ca. 1837, and following a year as a dance master, taught drawing at 21 South Fifth Street until his death in 1852.

SA firefighter's belt marked Shiffler 7. A 2.325in wide black leather belther belt bound around edges in freen leather with a zig zag edge on the front center cut out portion revelas a red background with raised white letters "SH FFLER HOSE." There is a 2.75in wide moveable slide with edges bound in green and red cut out background with raised "7." A 9in leather strip attached to back holds slide. A 10in long x .75in wide belt with 10 holes is attached 14in from the rounded end witha small buckle at the opposite end. Taped to back, handwritten in ink "J./_ G. Goodman."
Black leather belt with 11.5in red inset with 1in high dimensional white letters spelling "WASHINGTON" All edges are bound in white leather with a scalloped edge in front. A 1.25in x 1.25in black enamel metal buckle is at one end. The leather strap with 7 holes is attached to the back of the belt at the opposite end of the buckle. The belt is buckled with the bukle assembly on teh back, and the belt itself covers the buckle. A sliding loop on the buckle side of the belt holds the endin place, over top of the buckle. This slide is held with a strap of leather on the back of the belt to anchor it while allowing for movement. the 3.325in wdie belt loop of balck leather also has a red inset with raised white letters "WF Co."

Belt with holes is missing. Belt on the opposite end has a small buckle.
