Parade Belt presented to Union Fire Company by the "Lady Friends" of the fire company. Leather strap with buckle and holder for flag. Sterling silver sheild attached to leather by to copper rivets. Engraved on shield: "Aug. 14th 1860/Presented by the Lady Friends/ of the Union Fire Co./No. 1/ at their centennial anniversary/ Aug. 14th 1760
2.5in wide leather belt painted black edges bound in white leather with scalloped edge on the front. Center cut out portion reveals a dark green background with raised white letters "17 UNION 60" A sliding gold-colored metal buckle (3in) displays in relief fire fighting equipment A shield in the center contains a #1. A 6in long by .75in wide tab with 7 holes is attached 7in from the rounded end on the back of the belt. A solid strip with a buckle at the end is attached o on the opposite end. A metal hood is loose; it was attached with eye loop sewn to the back.
