Inaugural address delivered by (Governor) J. Andw. Shulze in the Capitol, at Harrisburg, Tuesday, on Dec. 19, 1826. Two columns of bordered text printed in black on silk. The edges have been folded under. Basting stitches are visible along the edges. 5 colorful strands (shades of pinks and reds) of heavier threads are stitched out like rays framing the entire piece. The velvet appears to have been cut from a larger piece.
Provenance
Printed copy on silk of inaugural address of Gov. J. Andrew Shulze in Capitol at Harrisburg, 19 December 19, 1826. Given by Stephen L. Sweeney, of 306 N. Lime St., administrator of estate of Ida Moore Hess. Hess was the adopted daughter of Gov. Shulze's daughter, Mrs. Moore.
