Brown overall with obvious center crease and some darker spots especially in the right margin. The newsprint has been glued to a piece of Masonite, with edges folded over. They are now loose.
Printed certificate (on stiff paper) with holy firgures and illustrations in brown ink. Printed words are in red.
Jesus and angels atop an arch look down on Jesus with children below. Bible verses are above, to the sides and below the information section in the center:

A death remembrance poster with white doves and angels above a wreath or white flowers. Near the bottom of the piece, an inserted poem printed on shiny black paper shows in an altar. Displayed in an opening within the wreath beneath "In Loving Remembrance" is "Of our Dear Daughter/ Theresa Caley/ Died June 30, 1899 Age 3 months and 2 days." Name and date handwritten in white ink.

Wedding bells on a curved spray of white flowers and a sprig of pink dogwood flowers on the right surround the information: "This certifies/ that/ Ralph W. Walters of West Fairview and Esther C. Ink political cartoon by Lancaster Intelligencer Journal cartoonist, Jim Kinter, given to Ben Weaver: "To Ben Weaver/ with best wishes./ Jim Kinter." A dinosaur labeled LANCO GOP resentfully pulls a wood platform holding Ben Weaver who hits the dinosaur with a club and K.L. Shirk who prods the dinosaur with a stick. "BARRY" (Goldwater, 1964 Republican Party Presidential) is carved onto the slow-rolling wheel. Both "BEN WEAVER" and "SHIRK" are identified in the cartoon. "KINTER" appears in the lower left corner.
