Custodial History
The James Buchanan Family Papers were collected by the James Buchanan Foundation for the Preservation of Wheatland. This collection was relocated from the Wheatland mansion to the LancasterHistory archives in the Spring of 2009. Digitization of the James Buchanan Family Papers was funded by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, PHMC Appl ID # 201808013051, 2019-2020.
Various County officials lined up to shake hands with a man and woman. Ben Weaver, Commissioner, Brenda Swingler, Clerk of Quarter Sessions, Paul Paes, Register of Wills are the only identifiable officials.
Harnish & Co. Dry Goods and tailor shop, 46 West. King Street, showing seven men and three women. Joseph C. Rooney has tape line around his neck. The property was owned by Mrs. Priscilla Rooney.
