The first part of a review of "Shoulder-Straps: a Novel of New York and the Army, 1862." The novel was written by Henry Morford and published by T. B. Peterson & Brothers, Philadelphia in 1863. On the reverse is part of an article or letter written after Vicksburg surrendered. [The Press]. 12 August 1863.
