This collection consists of papers generated by John Erisman in his position as Justice of the Peace. These papers are largely receipts, contracts, promissory notes, and judgments. There are many names listed on the documents.
Memorandum on which the Buchanan Income Tax Return was made from January 1, 1868 to Jun 1st, 1868, being the day of his death including interest received on bonds and mortgages with list of payers, state and other loans on which income tax was not withheld, state and other loans on which the taxes were withheld, and rent from house in Lancaster.
