A writ of habeas corpus is a procedure for obtaining a judicial determination of the legality of an individual's custody. This collection includes petitions for writs of habeas corpus and the writs themselves, showing the names of petitioners, persons to be brought to court, nature of dispute or alleged crime, dates of writs and accompanying documents, names of judges, and names of persons that the writs are filed against. Petitioners include indentured servants, Freedom Seekers, free persons of color, convicted prisoners, those awaiting trial, relatives of prisoners, parties in child custody disputes, and relatives of army recruits and draftees.

A small liquor still used on the premises of a plantation in the south. The object is made of two parts which are held together with rivets. The spiral condensing part was made of pewter or tin.

Colonial kitchen display in a museum with sideboad and table and chair. In the sideboard are pewter pieces and spoons hanging. There are two open shelves, three drawers over two doors. the table had a pewter plate and coffepot, and brass candlestick as a decoration. Cookie cutters are part of the display on the wall. Same picture as HK-03-06-26 except from a wider angle encompassing more items - 2 chairs, spinning wheel and bed warmer.

Large dish cupboard with five drawers going down the middle and a paneled door on either side of the drawers. Two shelves a the top, with a spoon rack on the bottom shelf and a spoon in each slop. Pennsylvania Redware on shelves along with other decoratively painted plates. Piece could be walnut, since the word is just barely visible a the bottom of the picture.
