Description
Invoice to the Board of Common Schools of the City of Lancaster from Ellis Lewis for rental of space at the Old Friends Meeting House for the African School. Invoice dated 1 April 1846. Order written by P. McConomy, treasurer, on 21 April 1846. Signed by J. Zimmerman, secretary, and George M. Steinman, president. Payment transferred by Lewis on 28 July 1846 to his son, James Lewis.
