Violin in case and accessories. Contents include violin, bow, chamois cover, and various accessories in compartment at front of case (two string packets, one string missing; bridge; labels).
A) Violin - Label on the interior reads, "Fried. Aug. Glass vvefertigt nach / Antonius Straduarius Fies / Fabrikat in Cremona 1730" [Friedrich August Glass manufactured in the style of Antonius Stradvarius [the younger?] factory of Cremona 1730]
Missing bridge and strings.
B) Bow - Wood, Ebony, Mother of Pearl. Wooden with ebony & mother-of-pearl piece to anchor strings. Metal covers both ends. 29" long.
C) Velvet and Chamois cover - Velvet is painted with floral motif. Violin-shaped cover, scalloped-edged chamois with black velvet piece hand-stitched to it.
D) Case - lined with decorative paper, small storage compartment at one end. Metal handle, lock, and latch. 2 hook-and-eye front closures, 2 hinges on back. Remnants of fabric strips on inside of case.
