The letter "A" (1-1/4" x 3/4") in upper left corner of front cover. Cover spine has "LEGER" (sic) embossed on it.
Front inside cover has "fou/$750" and "Ann Barr 75 lb B???" written on it.
Book references work performed e.g., hire of horse, thrashing, etc. and the purchase of goods, e.g., stove, cider barrel, muslin, silk, cutting box, wheat, lime, brandy, etc.

In the case of "poor children," teachers were reimbursed by the county for tuition and/or the supplies purchased for students whose parents were unable to pay. Orders include: Poor Children, Almshouse, Bridges, Coroners' Inquests, Prisons, Roads, Court House, and Tax Exonerations.
