Sketch of the location of various military positions in Mexico and Texas during the Mexican-American War, by J. M. Foltz. Shows General Taylor’s position, the Road to Point Isabel, Matamoros on the Mexican side of the Rio Grande, and Fort Polk on Point Isabel. Foltz also makes notations of the batteries, specific battlegrounds and squadrons.
