Contains 120 leaves, ruled, and except for the front leaf and index, with vertical accounting lines, and paginated. Contains 4 blank pages).
"Ledger" is written on a piece f paper on the front cover.
"ERH=a" is written on front leaf.

Owner not identified. This could be Dr. Emanuel R. Hershey, Pharmacist (2 May 1847 - 22 October 1921), buried in the Paradise Cemetery. His father , Abraham Hershey (16 August 1819 - 18 December 1886) at his death had three tracts of land, two of them with improvements. Emanuel was the oldest son and may have kept these records.
Front and back covers are worn and have partially separated from the spine. Spine has worn through at places.
Paper has foxing.
