Description
Transcription of the court papers filed in the action by the stockholders of the Marietta & Susquehanna Trading Company against a the appointed Trustees of the Company, Jacob Grosh, Jacob Gish (Gisch), Jacob Mishey (Misher), James Patterson, Jr. and William Child, entrusted to resolve the company, however none of the debts were ever collected. Transcription includes a background, complaint, answer and exhibits. Transcribed by the Clerk of the Circuit Court, David Caldwell.

The James Buchanan Family Papers were collected by the James Buchanan Foundation for the Preservation of Wheatland. This collection was relocated from the Wheatland mansion to the LancasterHistory archives in the Spring of 2009. Digitization of the James Buchanan Family Papers was funded by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, PHMC Appl ID # 201808013051, 2019-2020.

Transcription of letter, MG0258_F003_In06, from John B. Lebkicher to his brother from Camp Cooper. The upper corner is stamped with the face of a girl and the phrase, “The Girl I left behind me”. He also enclosed twenty five dollars for his brother’s business pursuits.
