This collection contains the records of the Marshall W. Warren family, including a marriage announcement, personal notebook, correspondence, and family bible records.
The William Wright Collection contains the papers of William Wright and his descendants. The papers include wills, land drafts, inventories, releases, receipts, correspondence, genealogical information, photographs, and copies of obituaries.
(It appears there is a correlation between this Wright family and the John Wright who petitioned the Philadelphia courts for the formation of Lancaster County in 1729. Further research must be done on this link. There were several interesting envelopes containing documents in bad repair. These envelopes all had the return address of C. J. Rainear & Co., Inc, 210 N. 21st Street, Philadelphia 3, PA. One envelope has been retained with the collection. Further investigation is necessary to determine the relationship between this company, the donor and the Wright family.)

The Hollinger Tannery Records contain one ledger of the Hollinger Tannery and Hollinger family, 1914-1950.
Admin/Biographical History
The tannery, founded by Jacob Kreider, was located on Willow Street Pike. Johan Hollinger apprenticed with Mr. Kreider and then took over the business in 1824. The tannery closed in 1918. This ledger was used in writing Chapter IV in The Story of Leather: Tanning in Lancaster County, by Charles D. Spotts.

The Alice E. Brown Family Papers contain genealogy and family records, deeds, land drafts, ads and ephemera for local businesses, bonds, estate papers, wills, and personal papers. Some of the deeds and maps are for property also owned by the Coates and Pownall families. Alice's father was a race horse breeder and the collection contains certificates from the American Trotting Register for some of his horses.

"Alice E. Brown, age 93, of Christiana, PA passed away on Monday, March 15, 2010 at Tel Hai Retirement Community. She was born in Salisbury Twp., daughter of the late John H. & Lizzie F. Brown. She was a member of Latta Memorial Presbyterian Church of Christiana. Alice graduated from the Millersville Normal School in 1934. She was a School Teacher for 7 years at the former Simmontown one-room schoolhouse. She also worked for Dr. Beacher of Gap. She was known as a wonderful artist. She was preceded in death by 4 siblings: Norris, Phares, Lela, and Leah Brown. She was the last of her immediate family. Funeral service will take place from the Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana, PA on Wednesday, March 17th, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jane DeFord officiating. Interment will be in the Sadsbury Friends Burial Grounds, Gap, PA."

Collection of Ellmaker family papers, including original papers of the first immigrant, John Leonard Ellmaker of Germany. The Hubley Collection contains legal documents, case papers, family and military papers, wills, deeds, bills and receipts, indentures for servants and enslaved persons, correspondence, petitions, and church-related information.

John Hubley and Joseph Hubley were Lancaster attorneys.
System of Arrangement
The legal papers are arranged chronologically. Case papers are arranged
alphabetically by surname of the plaintiff or defendant. Family papers are grouped by the family member's name and chronologically within that name. Box 6 is arranged chronologically.
This collection contains items from the Hiram Buckwalter and John S. Shelley families. Hiram Buckwalter recorded the birth dates of his children in the account book. John S. Shelley's letterhead was preserved in the account book, as was an insurance receipt and two loose account and calculation sheets.

John's daughter, Grace (1916-2012), married Paul B. Brubaker (1913-2004). Paul was the grandson of Hiram Buckwalter (1857-1930).
The Beechdale Duck Farm Papers contain documents pertaining to the Gibbons and Brubaker families. The folders contain history of the Beechdale Duck Farm and a pamphlet on the chicken mating at the Bird-in-Hand hatchery. There are newspaper articles commending the political content that the Gibbons' women spoke about and a note from them inviting friends to a Christmas day dinner party. There is political article defending Thaddeus Stevens and an article praising Everett E. Brubaker's accomplishments in twenty-two years of overseeing the county home.
Admin/Biographical History
The house on Beechdale Farm was built by Quakers Daniel and Hannah Gibbons in 1815. The Gibbons were abolitionists and the farm was a stop on the Underground Railroad. Their son Joseph, a doctor, and his wife Phebe, a writer, continued aiding runaway slaves until the Civil War. The house was passed down to their granddaughter Marianna and her husband, Oram D. Brubaker. Marianna was a journalist and Oram was a farmer. In order to make his sons grow up with a skill in a specialized trade, he traveled to California in 1903 with Marianna, brought back 35 Pekin ducks, and created the very successful Beechdale Duck Farm. Due to the prosperous farm, Marianna and Oram built a large stone house near the old brick house in 1909. The duck farm was sold in the 1960s.
