Description
Collection of Ellmaker family papers, including original papers of the first immigrant, John Leonard Ellmaker of Germany. Papers include correspondence, genealogy charts, deeds and legal papers. newspaper clippings, photographs, articles on Jacob Eichholtz, and a diploma and teachers' certificate. There is also a blank book with paper made at Ephrata Cloister in 1796.

Description
Compass housed in a round, turned brass case with fitted lid. Scored circles decorate exterior. Inside case bottom is paper printed with decoration and cardinal points. Blued needle has gold-stenciled "N" on one end. Flat glass window on top held with brass retaining ring. Lid screws onto case bottom.
Handwritten note states compass brought to America from Nuremburg, Germany by immigrant ancestor John Leonard Ellmaker(1697-1782) in 1726.

Description
Ellmaker Homestead farm. Grave of John Leonard Ellmaker, progenitor of the American branch of the German Family of that name. In his own family burying ground, upon his farm - the apple boughs are from his own orchard, planted by himself. His descendants, now numbering several thousand, are scattered throughout the United States, in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Missouri, Iowa, Oregon, California, etc.
