Collection includes waste books and an account book from the Salisbury Store, Justice of the Peace dockets, child's school exercise books, receipts, summons, letters, and other papers.
This collection contains patents issued to inventors in Lancaster County. The patents have the technical information about the invention and also drawings and/or blueprints. Some of the patents are for a horse hay rake, pinions, a railroad car brake, and improvements in threshing machines, balancing mill stones, kitchen slicing utensils and a still. Two of the documents are signed by Secretary of State Henry Clay and President Andrew Jackson.
The Apprenticeship and Indenture Documents include legal contracts between apprentice, or the parent or guardians, and master; as well as one contract between an indentured servant and master. The contracts identify the parties involved, municipalities, trade to be learned, and terms of contract.

Description
This collection contains documents pertaining to property owned by the Neel family in Drumore Township, Lancaster County. The land along the Susquehanna River was originally deeded to William Mitchell by Thomas and Richard Penn. The land drafts show property lines and owners of the adjoining tracts.

The Danner Family Correspondence contains letters to and from members of the Danner family who lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, and Georgia, 1745-1857. The collection also includes poetry and property records. Most documents are written in English and others are in German. One letter from Mary Danner in Lancaster mentions Gen. Lafayette's visit in 1824.

Marriage licenses contain the names of the groom and bride, marital status, and if a parental consent form had been filed if under age. These are photocopies of the originals at the Lancaster County Archives.

This record group contains canceled orders that were issued by the county commissioners for payment to be made by the county treasurer. The orders show date, order number, amount, name of payee, purpose, and signatures of the county commissioners. In the case of "poor children," teachers were reimbursed by the county for tuition and/or the supplies purchased for students whose parents were unable to pay. Orders include: Poor Children, Almshouse, Bridges, Coroners' Inquests, Prisons, Roads, Court House, and Tax Exonerations.

Petitions from landowners to the Court of Common Pleas requesting an order to the sheriff to issue deeds for property purchased at the previous sheriff's land sales. Petitions show names of petitioner, former owner, and former sheriff; signature of petitioner; a brief description of the property; location; purchase price; and date. Arranged chronologically by year, then alphabetically by purchaser's name. Most are handwritten on printed forms.
