Reverend Michael Schlatter was a minister of the German Reformed church who came to America to serve German immigrants. Daniel Esbenshade, born 1765 and died 1856, and his wife Elizabeth Lefever. From a tintype taken c. 1850. Elizabeth Lefever was a great-granddaughter of Isaac Lefever. Daniel Espenshade was a farmer and tanner by trade. He owned the first known tannery in Paradise Township.
