The James Buchanan Family Papers were collected by the James Buchanan Foundation for the Preservation of Wheatland. This collection was relocated from the Wheatland mansion to the LancasterHistory archives in the Spring of 2009. Invoice to the Board of Common Schools of the City of Lancaster from Henry Steigerwalt for repair work at the African School and Franklin College, and for making tree boxes. Invoice dated 3 June 1852. Approved by Thomas H. Burrowes, John W. Jackson, and George [Fry]. Order written by P. McConomy, treasurer, on 5 June 1852. Signed by J. Zimmerman, secretary, and George M. Steinman, president.
