Summary
The Hebron Diary tells of events during the Revolutionary War period in Hebron, the settlement that later became Lebanon, PA. The author gives commentary about entries in the diary.
"Presents information on the people and areas of Lebanon affected by the Bridge over Norfolk Southern project. It provides a glimpse of the history of some families who lived in the bridge area; it also provides information on some businesses that were located on the sites where the new bridges will be constructed."--Page ii.

Henry advising to have Jamie keep his application to the Naval Academy on file in case0 someone, probably Bridgman, drops out; if so, Anderson will urge the Secretary to appoint Jamie; is concerned with the way Mr. Kapff has ignored both of them and recommends having a lawyer clear up the matter instead of turning matters over to slow-acting Mr. Greenfield; his baby is better; and Aunt Paulina died with only about a dozen attending the funeral because Mr. [Oothout] put no notice in the paper. The James Buchanan Family Papers were collected by the James Buchanan Foundation for the Preservation of Wheatland. This collection was relocated from the Wheatland mansion to the LancasterHistory archives in the Spring of 2009. Digitization of the James Buchanan Family Papers was funded by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, PHMC Appl ID # 201808013051, 2019-2020.
