Description
Certificate of election for Joshua Stevens, elected Justice of the Peace for Marion County, Indiana. Signed by James Whitcomb, Governor, and John H. Thompson, Secretary of State. The oaths of office are written on the reverse and signed by Stevens. Certified by Robert B. Duncan, Clerk of the Marion County Circuit Court, on 1 May 1847 and by William Stewart, Clerk of the Marion County Circuit Court, on 1 November 1851.
