"Chatterbox" was published in Boston by Estes & Laurait, 301 Washington Street in 1884. "Contents" lists "the great variety of original Stories, Sketches, and Poems for the Young, and every illustration which appears in it is expressly designed for this work, by the most eminent English artists." 412 pp. Front cover and frontispiece are color illustrations. Book illustrations and ornate initial letters are black and white. Advertisements fill inside covers and back outside cover.

"Lilliput Land; With Hundreds of Pictures" printed in black ink on the spine. On Illustrated front cover: "Lilliput Land or Peep-show for the Young, edited by the Author of Lilliput Levee, New York: Baker, Pratt & Co." On reverse of the series title page: "London: Printed by McCorquodale and Co." 300 black and white illustrations. An index in the front of this British narrative book lists contents of Serial Stories and Sketches, Prose, Poems, Musical pages and Illustrations. 384 pp. This book "aims to provide Literature for the young." Children's book.

Some pieces of glued-on illustrated front cover are missing. Missing pieces from plain back cover reveal printing beneath. Cover edges, corners are worn. A few pages have missing pieces on lower edge/corners.
"Play-Time/ Sayings and Doings/ of/ Baby-Land/ by Edward Stanford" is a hardcover children's picture book published in London by Chatto & Windu, Piccadilly. Color illustrations on both covers. Children's rhymes and vividly-colored illustrations (by 'Es') on each of 37 pages.
Back of title page inscribed:" Lillian M. Sprecher/ from Mama./ December 25.1888."
Children's book, "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen" was published in New York by Scribner and Welford.104 pages of text "with 18 (un-numbered) illustrations printed in Colours from original designs by A. Bichard." "Contents" (pp. vii-viii) lists 27 chapters. Color illustration on front cover; title and illustrator listed on back cover. "Baron Munchausen" in gold letters on spine of book.
Flyleaf and page 1 inscribed: "Lillian M. Sprecher from Mama."
The title, "Aunt Louisa's Nursery Favorite," is on spine and front cover. This British children's book contains stories about pets, Dick Whittington, The Birthday Party and Uncle's Farm Yard with 24 pp. "of colour illustrations by Kronheim." Published in London by Frederick Warne and Co. and in NY by Scribner, Welford and Armstrong. "To Lillian Sprecher from Papa."
