Memorandum from Edward Young Buchanan and Hiram B. Swarr requesting that Mr. Cadwalader write a biography including the transfer of all documents, etc., pertaining to the biography to Mr. Cadwalader, and he alone will decide whether to proceed or not; no one will supervise of inspect the work or interfere with its execution; he will receive $3000 for expenses and the balance when the work is ready for publication; and his relationship will remain honorary. Signed by all three persons. Lancaster.

This collection was relocated from the Wheatland mansion to the LancasterHistory archives in the Spring of 2009. She became an indentured servant in exchange for her manumission on the advice of her guardian, Thomas Harrison. 14 September 1811. Transfer of indenture to John Ewing in Allentown, Pennsylvania. 30 September 1813.
