Summary
This article is about a letter from a Swiss Anabaptist to his brother back in Switzerland. In the letter, he informs his family of his journey to America 14 months earlier and his experience so far in Donegal Township, Lancaster County. He describes the countryside and the possibilities for employment. He talks about the farming he has begun, and he describes the differences in vegetation and climate. He also mentions that "the country is quite free from troubles from the authorities. Everyone has the same rights, the rich people as well as the poor."
