Sketch on the life of James Ross laid in. "Author of this Greek Grammar; Born May 18, 1744 in Oxford, Chester Co. Died July 6 1827 in Phila. (Body later removed to Carlisle.) No descendants. Married 1. Rosanna Sharp 2. Cath. Irvine of Carlisle. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Ch. Lancaster. He taught in Old Franklin College from 1802-1809. At Dickinson College from 1784-1797.
