Description
"West Point Tic Tacs, A Collection of Military Verse" is book belonging to Blanton C. Welsh that he recieved in West Point, New York at the military academy there. The book was published by Homer Lee & Co. of 65 Liberty Street, New York and copyrighted in 1878. The book is dedicated to the cadets and graduates of the United States Military Academy. The contents include cadet songs and poems, army poems, and other miscellaneous writings as well as illustrations all from various authors and illustrators. There are also loose interted photographs and paper cut outs throughout the pages and signature pages in the back of the book.

The book is inscribed as belonging to Blanton C. Welsh. Blanton C. Welsh wrote inside "B.C. Welsh, West Point N.Y. June 11, 1878 Class '81. The three loose photots within the book are evidently from West Point and reside between pages 112 and 113. The signatures in the back of the book date mostly from 1880-1881 but vary and date up until 1882.
