From glass plate negatives bought by Kevin Shue at Horst Auction. Photographer unknown, but most images are of the Warwick Township or Safe Harbor areas.
Pretty Pequea - Looking southeast across the creek. Reverse is ad for Teachers' Vacation Fund Contest for the three most popular teachers, one vote with each pound of coffee from Mack the Coffee Man, contest starts December 1st, 1908, closes June 30 1909.
Elizabeth Peale's photo album before her marriage to Paul Ryder. Photo Album #3, page 63, has three pictures (1) Paul Ryder and Willis M. standing by a roadsign for Pequea and Lancaster. This is titled "The Parting of the Ways." (2) Two men and a woman standing in the middle of a road. A road sign at the corner cannot be read. This is titled "A Bit of Scenery near Pequa." (3) Three woman and a man sitting on a running board of an old touring car. Caption above this photo "The Four Rices Among the Pines" and under the picture the people are labeled Helen, Uncle Ward, Aunt Rilla and Aunt Floyd. (Thomas and Flora Ward , Marilla Hayes Rice)
