Plain black-papered covers and brown twill spine; plain paper covering was added later to obscure the title of the book; inside the covers all pages were "sealed" with a white linen tape and wax seals with images of a skull, rod with snake, and a cross; spine broken with many loose pages.

Black cover with title on spine in white lettering with three stars (pentagrams/penticles) above and four below; a hand-fashioned paper bag book cover guards the book as well as the subject matter; inside the flyleaf a copy of the title and contents is affixed with five wax seals imprinted with the pentagram.
