This fireplace fender has a decorative brass frame that covers the primary frame made of iron. A wire screen comprises the body; the brass top rail is semi-round. The remainder of the frame includes seven vertical iron ribs, which include the end ribs. There are five horizontal ribs and the middle rib has a serpentine shape.
