Henry to Louisa Anderson providing a menu to show that they are eating well; recounting his encounter with a major storm on the sea between Martha’s Vineyard and Newport, Rhode Island, fearing for the lives of Ives, Shirley, and himself; they miraculously landed on a sandy beach and avoided the rocks; rescued, he made arrangements to reclaim the yacht; enjoyed the celebration at the yacht harbor with fireworks, his was the smallest yacht ; cites a number of yellow fever cases of Dr. [Leery] and Frank; hopes they are all right; gives love to her father, aunt, brother, and the children.
