Swarr her attorney to draw up estate papers; admitting that he opened the enclosed letter from Mr. Florey in which he wants to close a loan to her but with conditions; thinking that the influence of Parson Rosenmiller on Dr. Lane would affect adversely the estates of the family; asking that she find out from James Henry whether New York paid interest in gold or “depreciated paper”; finding pleasure in visiting his Chester County farm; and rejoicing at Mrs. Henry’s recovery. Henry describing the disturbing condition of the baby [Buchanan Henry, 1860-1862?] and the difficulty she has with dealing with it; Mrs. Thieriot has been very helpful; attended sacred music concerts of Mr. Hubbard, Mr. Ladam, and Mr. Kensell; Henry and Therese have come; plans to come home by train via Ticonderoga and he will meet her at Troy Station; praises the staff at the hotel.
