The William Wright Collection contains the papers of William Wright and his descendants. The papers include wills, land drafts, inventories, releases, receipts, correspondence, genealogical information, photographs, and copies of obituaries.
(It appears there is a correlation between this Wright family and the John Wright who petitioned the Philadelphia courts for the formation of Lancaster County in 1729. Further research must be done on this link. There were several interesting envelopes containing documents in bad repair. These envelopes all had the return address of C. J. Rainear & Co., Inc, 210 N. 21st Street, Philadelphia 3, PA. One envelope has been retained with the collection. Further investigation is necessary to determine the relationship between this company, the donor and the Wright family.)

Appraisements of real estate for inheritance tax. Some personal property appraisals are also included. Appraisals include: name of decedent; location and description of real estate; description of personal property; valuation of real estate and personal property; and assessed tax. This collection contains items from the Hiram Buckwalter and John S. Shelley families. Hiram Buckwalter recorded the birth dates of his children in the account book. John S. Shelley's letterhead was preserved in the account book, as was an insurance receipt and two loose account and calculation sheets.
Folder 1: Account book of Hiram Buckwalter, 1881-1907; page 173 is an "account of Minnie Buckwalter," 1907 -- The account shows items purchased to furnish a home. Birth dates of Hiram's children are on the last page.

John's daughter, Grace (1916-2012), married Paul B. Brubaker (1913-2004). Paul was the grandson of Hiram Buckwalter (1857-1930).
The Andrew J. Steinman Collection contains the personal and business papers of Andrew J. Steinman, the Steinman family, and John M. Hale. Andrew was a lawyer; his wife was the daughter of John M. Hale, also a lawyer. This collection is comprised of correspondence, legal papers, and financial records.

In September 1854, a devastating cholera epidemic struck Columbia. This collection contains correspondence with and records of actions taken by Sanitary Committee, including minutes, accounts, donations, and bills.
The McCaa Collection contains the papers of and collected by the family of James McCaa in northeastern Lancaster County. Among the items are account and ledger books, a physician's visiting book, legal papers, deeds, certificates for commissions, receipts, letters, and estate papers.
The Geist Family Papers include correspondence, tax records, legal documents, and other items related to the Geist family. Some correspondence is personal, while other letters relate to legal proceedings concerning estates and inheritances. A number of wills and associated materials, generally related to adjudications involving family members. Numerous local tax notices and federal income tax returns largely pertain to Daniel W. and Bertha W. Geist. Other materials include notebooks and receipts from Daniel W. Geist's time at Millersville State Normal School, visiting cards, and newspaper clippings.

The Lancaster County Monumental Association Records date from 1871 to 1979. The organization's constitution, charter and by-laws are included in the collection, as well as invoices for repairs to the monument. The meeting minutes record the official proceedings of the association. Discussion and debate on whether the monument should be moved from its current spot is also well-documented.

The Samuel Ream Collection contains papers of the Reem family of Mount Joy Twp. The papers include probate records, receipts, and an agreement with the railroad company. Resolutions from Christ Reformed Church in Elizabethtown thank Adam Reem for the property he sold to the church.
