Admin/Biographical History
Property for the Lexington School and Meetinghouse was bought in 1829 and the building was constructed in 1836, the same year the property for the cemetery was purchased. The meetinghouse was located at what's now the southwest corner of Lexington Road and Union House Road in Warwick Township.

Invoice to the Board of Common Schools of the City of Lancaster from Henry Steigerwalt for repair work at the African School and Franklin College, and for making tree boxes. Invoice dated 3 June 1852. Approved by Thomas H. Burrowes, John W. Jackson, and George [Fry]. Order written by P. McConomy, treasurer, on 5 June 1852. Signed by J. Zimmerman, secretary, and George M.
