Swarr noting that Harriet Lane Johnston’s suggestions regarding James Buchanan’s biography would surely be disregarded as have her previous wishes regarding the monument, etc; further noting that Mr. Swarr appears more favorably disposed towards his co-executor than he was at the time of the disposal of the Prince of Wales picture; and ends with his inability to tolerate the disrespectful tone of Swarr’s last letter.
