Strong, Speaker of the Senate, William Mulhenberg Hiester and Governor, James Pollock . An act to confirm and legalize the election of trustees of the Second Presbyterian Congregation of the City of Lancaster signed by Henry K. Strong, Speaker of the House of Representatives, William M. Hiester, Speaker of the Senate, and James Pollock, Governor, and certified by John M. Sullivan, Deputy Secretary of the Commonwealth confirming the election of several trustees after failing to do so according to the charter of the church. This act upholds the action of the Golden seal with red ribbon on last page. Lancaster, PA.

Involves bequeaths from her father, James Buchanan, and her mother, Elizabeth Buchanan. Also mentioned in the agreement are her sister, Harriett Henry, and her brother, the Reverend Edward Y. A 1909 tour of the towns and places near the west branch of the Brandywine Creek, it includes Honey Brook and the railroad that once ran through it, Coatesville, Hibernia, Icedale, West Chester, Chadds Ford, and many other sites in Chester County, northern Maryland, and Delaware.

Summary
The 1847 publication briefly address climate soil and agriculture in Alta and Baja California in chapter I. The following eight chapters consist of communications from the U.S. Government consisting of instructions in the event Mexico declared war, justification of and motives for war, various reports to Washington, communications with Mexican officials in Alta California, accounts of the military operations in California, the articles of capitulation entered into at Rancho of Cowanga on January 13, 1847, all of which are interspersed with personal observations and comments by the author. The final chapter deals with the question of whether slavery would be allowed in California, the policy of the South and its motive for a slave market and emigrants to California and Northern Mexico [from California State University's Digital Commons]
