Henry to Mary Hagner Nicholson recounting the President’s disapproval of James Buchanan Henry’s engagement to Mary because James Buchanan Henry did not consult him first; James Buchanan Henry has come to terms with it, but apparently Mary has heard rumors; James Buchanan Henry is confident that James Buchanan has forgotten since they are on good terms once more.
