Letter from E. Y. Buchanan to H. R. Swarr stating his reluctance to appoint Judge Black as James Buchanan’s biographer, but promising to discuss it with Mr. Henry, who is coming to town soon; and politely declining Swarr’s invitation to buy property in Lancaster and become a resident.
