Soldering iron. One end is a 2 1/4" long tip of brass with 4 sides and tapering point. Connected with a shaft of iron or steel that is made of two lengths of joined wrought iron that forks at brass end and inserts into two opposite sides. Fitted with a shaped handle grip with very large rounded metal ferrule.

Heavy wear overall. All metal is dented and shaft is also pitted and corroded. Shaped woodern handle has considerable losses on wood next to ferrule. Wood is also blackened at center.
