Handwritten copy of letter by James Buchanan to Committee of Invitation, offering his regrets at not being able to attend Centennial Celebration of Capture of Fort Duquesne. 22 November 1858.
Note from William F. Worner, Jr., who states that the letter is a copy and that the original is at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania. 1 April 1928. Worner was the librarian for Lancaster County Historical Society from 1923-1935.
